" ORPHAN TUNES FROM THE MONOTIMES "
A lo-fi instrumental and vocal electronic music CD-object, packaged in a profiled cardboard box. It consists of 14 full colour postcards, a CD with 14 musical tracks (+ two bonus tracks) and three animated video clips.
We can say that it is pure, happy, agile, fast and incisive electronic music as well; music which stimulates the listener’s nervous system, while at the same time going into other ambient and darker places, hidden until now behind the better known, lighter Puyo Puyo style.
“ Orphan Tunes from the Mono Times “ reflects a whole universe. You could say that it is a `Series B´ electronic music CD: a collection of tunes that have emerged directly from the heart of the tiny Puyo Puyo robot, a machine that represents his own character. It is : SALA APOLO [2]

the truthful soundtrack of an imaginary life, which is developed in a world of bits, with a big tinplate city biorhythm.
Pascal Lebrain, an artist who shows an absolutely original sensibility, taste and modus operandi, inserts larges doses of imagination and humour throughout this work. As a result, listening to the CD, together with the contemplation of the 14 postcards (one for each musical track), has an appeal comparable to the reading of a comic book with its own soundtrack !
